Acetabular components - uncemented
From Which Medical Device
The Trinity Advanced Bearing Acetabulum System from Corin is a modular acetabular system which includes BIOLOX Delta ceramic-on-ceramic and ECiMa (vitamin E) highly cross-linked polyethylene bearing options.
The shell is hemispherical, and has a plasma pure titanium and HA (Bonit) coating. Screw holes in the shell are filled with Hydrolok occluders to minimise fluid passage. The highly polished rim of the socket is designed to protect the psoas tendon from irritation. Large bearing options are available.
In the 2011 NJR of England and Wales report, the Trinity Acetabulum was implanted in less than 2% of cases and had a pre-entry ODEP rating.
