The H-A.C Coated CSF plus Cup from JRI is an evolution of the Furlong H-A.C CSF cup. Improvements include the availability of two shell types with differing internal tapers. The 18 degree internal taper is for ceramic (Biolox delta) liners, and the 5 degree for UHMWPE, including crosslinked.
The cup has a Supravit Zoned HA coating, and optional screw holes for fixation.
In 2011 the device was pre-entry for ODEP and comprised 7% of cementless socket implantations in the National Joint Registry of England and Wales. In the same report, the original CSF cup comprised 2% of implantations. The original CSF socket has an ODEP 10A rating.
