From Which Medical Device

According to the manufacturer, the SUPERA Veritas self-expanding nitinol stent is comprised of 6 pairs of closed-end interwoven nitinol wires with a closed cell geometry and is delivered via a coaxial catheter-based delivery handle. The stent has very high radial force and is very flexible due to the woven design.

They say that the device is indicated for palliative treatment of biliary strictures produced by malignant neoplasms.
It is also licensed for intravascular use following failed angioplasty and has been used succesfully in the popliteal artery.
