Covered Ureteric Stents
From Which Medical Device
The Hilzo stent is a fully covered PTFE/nitinol stent for use in the ureter.
The inner PTFE covering prevents tumour ingrowth and the outer spiral of PTFE helps to prevent stent migration.
We feel it will be much less prone to migration than the Allium stent.
The stent is licenced to be removable and can be manufactured with a removal suture on request.
It comes in sizes from 4 to 15cm and is 7mm diameter (8.5F).
