At CIRSE 2016, Mavig were showing flexible lead strips that mount on their clear screens to mould around the patient.
These coupled with a reusable pad that can be placed on the patient should certainly reduce operator doses significantly. Editor-in-CHief, Dr Phil Haslam likes the idea of the reusable pad. This would compete with the Rad Pad which is single use only.
