 This is GEs top of the range cart based US machine.

GE say it uses advanced transducers with a single crystal, acoustic amplification and a cooling technology to improve image quality especially at deeper penetration when image quality typically fades.

The GE vivid line is aimed at cardiovascular applications and GE voluson line is aimed at womens health and 4D.

The transducers use their XD clear transducer technology on the C1-6 and C 2-9 transducers which helps to increase penetration.

GE also have proprietry B Flow which is a GE imaging mode visulaising blood flow without using Doppler technology. They claim it enables visualisation of blood flow without the limitations of Doppler.
