The SuperCable (R) Iso-Elastic Cerclage system from Kinamed Inc. is a polymer cable system designed to provide long-term dynamic compressive loading across fractures. The manufacturers suggest the benefits of this system over a wire or conventional cabling system include higher fatigue strength, the elimination of metal particles generated by wire fragmentation, better handling properties and removing the possibility that cables might contact metal implants. The system is available with trochanteric grips and cable plates allowing the placement of locking or compression screws.
