The AXIOSTAT haemostatic dressing from AXIO Biosolutions is an emergency dressing for external use. It is non-absorbable and sticks to the wound, but can be wiped off after wetting with water.
The product stops external traumatic bleeding within 3 minutes of application. It has been developed to reduce the mortality due to bleeding in traumatic injuries. The dressing is a patented product approved for use in India and the EU and received a CE Mark in 2013. AXIOSTAT is already being used by leading hospitals, paramilitary, army in India.
