This is a new development on the vascular plug them from EV3.
As far as we are aware ths is the only vascular plug that you can deliver through a micro catheter. It should enable rapid and complete occlusion of even very small vessels.
The plug is made from nitinol and partially covered with PTFE. The 3mm plug can be delivered through an 0.021" microcatheter and the 5mm plug through a 0.027" microcatheter.
Once the plug has been positioned it is detached by unscrewing the wire similar to the Amplatzer.
