The Ligasure Impact Bipolar Sealer is a bipolar vessel sealing system which features an independent cut and seal function, a ratchet for closure and a feedback system which informs the user once a seal is reached. The device can be used for applications such as muscle resection and pelvic lymph and block dissection. The smaller Small Jaw device is more suited to applications such as thyroidectomy. The device seals the tissue between the jaws of the forceps, then cuts the tissue with an included blade.
