The Ethicon ENSEAL G2 Superjaw device is a tissue sealing and cutting device. The device is said to be gentle on tissue because a polymer compound in the jaw uses "Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC)" technology to regulate temperature and maintain a constant temperature of 100 degrees. Thermal spread is said to be limited at 1mm.
The device has 40mm curved jaws and can seal and transect vessels up to 7mm in width.
