Instruct is a system which is based on a biodegradable load bearing Mechanically Functional Scaffold (MFS) designed for repair of articular cartilage defects. 90% of the scaffold absorbs after 12 months of implantation. The scaffold is intended for use with a cell processing device which uses cartilage and bone marrow from the patient to seed the scaffold. The scaffold achieved CE marking in March 2013.
A clinical trial is ongoing.
