DBX Demineralised Bone Matrix from Synthes and the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF) is a bone powder produced by the removal of minerals from cortical bone in a sodium hyaluronate carrier.
It has osteoinductive potential and is osteoconductive. However, it does not provide structural support and is intended to fill surgically created or post traumatic bone defects. It is available in Putty, Injectable, Paste, Mix and Strip formulations. Bone is human in origin, from donors screened by the (MTF).
