From Which Medical Device
The Targon PF nail from Braun is designed for fixation of unstable trochanteric fractures of the femur. Features of the nail include a telescopic support system for the support screw which prevents lateral extrusion of the nail, an anti-rotation pin and a rotationally secure fracture stabilisation. The tip of the nail has a double groove design which is intended to increase the elasticity of the nail and reduce the risk of fracture at the tip of the device.
Material: Titanium
Surface: Hardened using anodisation process to prevent osteointegration
Geometry: Anatomic design with improved elasticity in the stem. Long and short (175mm) configurations.
