The Parachute catheter based partitioning device from Cardiokinetix is designed for the treatment of patients who have developed ischemic heart failure following a heart attack. The Parachute consists of a fluoropolymer (ePTFE) membrane stretched over a nitinol frame and is deployed within the left ventricle.
