Biotronik's Passeo-18 Lux drug releasing balloon, indicated for lower limb arteries gained the CE mark in January 2014. The device is clinically proven to reduce Late Lumen Loss (LLL) and Target Lesion Revascularization (TLR).
It has a low profile, highly deliverable Passeo-18 platform and a Lux coating technology to inhibit restenosis as a result of neointimal hyperplasia whilst maintaining a high safety profile. The device provides an alternative to conventional PTA (Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty) treatment.
