From Which Medical Device
The Mayday Nail is a 2-part intra-medullary device designed for arthrodesis of the knee, where both components are introduced via the knee joint and joined by a locking pin.
Each nail segment may be fixed in the respective medullary canals by means of cross locking screws. Additional fixation may be achieved by hydroxyapatite coating or bone cement.
