Modular endoprosthetic systems
From Which Medical Device
The Zimmer (R) Segmental System is a modular endoprosthetic replacement system for reconstruction after tumour resection or for complex reconstructive cases with significant bone loss. It is compatible with components of the NexGen (R) rotating hinge knee, (including the patellar button) in conjunction with which replacement of some or all of the femur and the proximal tibia is possible.
Bearing surfaces in the system are manufactured from Cobalt-Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy and UHMWPE. Intercalary segments are manufactured from Ti-6Al-4V Alloy, and trabecular metal collars from Tantalum.
