The Hunter biopsy sealing device is intended for use in percutaneous liver biopsy procedures to facilitate hemostasis of the biopsy tract and, if desired, mark the biopsy site with a radiopaque marker to help relocate the site for subsequent intervention or diagnosis.

 

This device provides: 

  • Gelatin foam pledgets to assist in achieving hemostasis.
  • Tantalum coated tip adds radiopacity for locating biopsy sites.
  • Ready-to-deliver and easy-to-use.
  • Available in multiple sizes for 14G-20G coaxial biopsy needles

 

Each package contains four gelatin foam pledgets:

  • Each pledget radially compressed for smooth delivery
  • Gelatin foam results in hemostasis as well as superior echogenicity
  • Tantalum coated tip on one pledget adds radiopacity
  • Gelatin resorbs within 12 weeks
