RF ablation
From Terumo
An interesting device that can be switched between power modulation or temperature modulation modes. This presumably varies between the different types of ablation needle.
The power modulation mode likely relies on impedence feedback such as in the cooltip device from Medtronic ad RF 3000 system from Boston Scientific and temperature modulation is similar to the Angiodynamics starburst system.
From Terumo:
Medsphere offers the versatility you need in your daily ablation procedures to find the best solution for each lesion and organ (liver, kidney, lung, bone, thyroid), with a wide range of treatment options.
Two ablation modes available: Power Mode or Temperature Mode
Different needle shapes: Umbrella or Straight cooled needle
Different needles sizes: 15G and 17G for umbrella - 16G, 17G, 18G and 19G for straight needles
Different umbrella diameters (2cm, 3cm, 4cm) and streight needle active tips (5mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 30mm)
Different lengths: 7cm, 10cm, 15cm, 20cm, 25cm
