Stents (biodegradeable)
From Which Medical Device
This biodegraedable stent from Medtronic has a double helical shape and is said to allow the bile/pancreatic fluid to flow around the outside of the stent.
There are two varieties, a fast degrading and a slow degrading profile although they do not state the likely degradation time period.
It is available in 2mm-3.4mm diameter with delivery varying between 6F and approx 10F
It comes in lengths of 40mm to 125mm
Please let us know in the comments/tips section if you have any experience of this in Interventional Radiology or otherwise!
