The device was on show at CIRCE 2016, in Barcelona. Our Editor-in-Chief, Dr Phil Haslam was there. He said, "This is an unusual thermal ablation system with one device applying either RF or microwave power for ablation. The advantage is you would have one system to treat larger hepatic tumours and bone tumours (RFA) coupled with microwave for more rapid treatment of other tumours where microwave is less susceptible to the electrical sink effects seen in RF."
