The Centeze™ over the needle catheter system from Galt is designed for centesis procedures involving the drainage of fluid from a body cavity. This might include paracentesis of the abdominal cavity for ascites or thoracentesis of the thoracic cavity.
The device features 3 large skived holes to improve and increase drainage whilst reducing the potential for clogging. A tapered tip aids a smooth transition and a clear echogenic needle with a bevel indicator assists visibility. The needle hub is clear to confirm flashback.
The Centeze™ catheter comes in 4Fr and 5Fr sizes (21ga and 19ga needle sizes), and in lengths of 9, 12 and in the 5 Fr variant, 17cm. The device has a slip fit connector.
