The Cool-tip RF Ablation System E Series is Covidien's latest (as at March 2013) addition to the Cool-tip range.
The device uses an electrode with a closed circuit of cooled saline to cool the electrode tip and prevent charring. The system is impedance controlled and CE marked.
According to the manufacturer, the E Series improves on the platform of the Cool-tip RFA System with a simple, intuitive design and new safety features.
