This is the successor to the standard Zilver vascular stent. The Zilver PTX is the claimed to be the world’s first drug-eluting stent for the superficial femoral artery (SFA). Its drug effect (paclitaxel) inhibits restenosis and reduces reintervention rates.
The device is approved for use in the US.
