The Hintermann Distractor is a device used primarily in foot and ankle surgery for bone distraction and as an alternative to laminar spreaders. The device is lockable and applies distraction across two k-wires placed, for example on either side of a joint.
The paper by Sarker et al describes its novel use for distal radius osteotomy.
