Description

From Which Medical Device

The Conmed AER Defense Smoke Evacuation System is intended to remove the smoke plume and its contents from the surgical field. The Ultra Low Particulate Air (ULPA) filter has an active life of up to 35 hours.

The system can be used in conjunction with Conmed's Goldvac pencil, which allows the evacuation tube to be placed anywhere along the active electrode according to the surgeon's requirements.

An alternative instrument to use with the system is the ClearVac pencil, which has a slimline clear plastic cover for the diathermy electrode.
