From Which Medical Device
Dr Phil Haslam, Consultant Interventional Radiologist and Which Medical Device Founder viewed this sytem at the British Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Meeting in November 2018.
According to Galil Medical, it is easily mobilised and placement next to the scanner bed allows easy access to both the patient and the needles during a procedure. Set-up and end case wizards assist users to prepare and complete a procedure and automatic needle recognition enables advanced functionality designed to optimise needle performance. Large timers allow freezing and thawing time to be viewed from the control room.
A helium-free thaw capability offers options to accelerate thaw-time, reduce logistic demands and eliminate the cost of helium. Proprietary cautery function allows for needle track ablation.
