I\'ve used this device for over a year to obtain bone marrow aspirate and trephine samples. It takes a few attempts to get the hang of it, but once mastered, it is easy, safe, and very effective in delivering large volume high quality samples. Never failed to retrieve a sample. Highly recommended.

The biopsy needle from Vidacare was the winner in the orthopaedics category of Which Medical Device of the Year 2012.
Our nominator said, "Works great and gives good core samples. I used one to biopsy and ablate an osteoid osteoma and never broke a sweat. The price is reasonable and there are two kits made to use for bone marrow biopsy and also targeted bone biopsy.?
We said ?The On Control biopsy needle from Vidacare is a simple and reliable aid to bone biopsy. The motorised needle is easy to control and in our experience produces good quality specimens. This is a simple idea, well executed, which in our opinion makes it device of the year."

Great device - easy to use - gives controlled access to bone, unlike non-motorised systems. Specimens are well preserved.
